New Journal pages

I did a few new pages in my art journal, but first, I started on a cover for it. I chose to do the pages on 12x20 canvas paper, just cuz I had it handy. I like working with it, but it is a bit unwieldy in size, so having made all these pages, I had to figure out how to "bind" them together. Being thrifty (read: broke), I decided to use the chipboard backing from the two pads I had. I covered them in vintage wallpaper, and voila...I don't know if I'm done with the covers, but here they are...

Here's the quote from one of the new pages, something I read in a magazine years ago, that stayed with me, despite my bad memory...The picture is my great-grandmother and my uncle

Here's the whole thing:

This one is a quote from Lord Byron, which I actually found in Somerset studio (I think...there's that pesky bad memory again...). The picture is from a vintage magazine:

Thanks so much for looking!

Came by to say "hi". I put the birdsong collage that we swapped on my trellis next to my desk amongst some floral plates, it looks so cute, and I see it everyday! I read down a few posts...I must say you really hit the jackpot last month with your estate saleing in Seattle! So many fun creative possibilities!
